Linking Dropbox with Couchdrop requires an existing Dropbox account.
Once you have an Dropbox account, navigate to your Couchdrop portal and select admin then navigate to storage connections in the top navigation menu.
Click the + icon to add a new connector and you will be presented with options to configure a bucket, select Dropbox App Folder, Dropbox Full or Dropbox Business from the drop down.
Dropbox App Folder |
Dropbox App Folder offers limited access for Couchdrop to your Dropbox folder and isolates Couchdrop to only operate within the /apps/couchdrop path. Do note, this path cannot be shared via Dropbox's sharing features, if you wish to share this folder please use Dropbox Full or see here for how to share with Couchdrop. |
Dropbox Full |
Dropbox Full allows Couchdrop to access your root Dropbox folder and have access to all nested folders and files. This also enables you to utilise Dropbox's internal syncing and sharing features. |
Dropbox Business | Dropbox Business enables you to access your Dropbox Team Drives and have users transfer files directly into your Dropbox Business account and Team Drives. |
You will need the following information.
Path | Optional - This is the mount path for where this bucket will sit within your Couchdrop virtual file system. If left blank, it will become the root directory. |
Sub Path |
Optional - Use this if you need to access a sub path/folder within your storage and have this set as your 'root' location within your storage bucket. Once you have saved the storage, click browse storage and navigate to your desired sub path. |
Connect Now | Click Connect Now you will be taken through Dropbox's OAuth process. Allow Couchdrop access to your storage. |
Once configured, click Save. You can begin transferring files to and from Dropbox with Couchdrop.
SFTP Hostname | Your primary domain found here |
SFTP Credentials | Couchdrop user account credentials |
